“大寿 (da shou)” is the term used for elders celebrating their birthday among Chinese families. These birthdays are usually celebrated at age 70, 80, 90 and above. This celebration will only be celebrated once each decade(10 years).

“寿桃 (shou tao)” is served as a birthday cake in the celebration. Chinese culture believes shou tao is a good representation for health and longetivity.
